Privacy Rights Clearinghouse is June’s Charity of the Month!
We’re pleased to announce the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse as the Charity of the Month for June. They’ll be our featured non-profit and sole beneficiary this month, and we’ll be promoting their important work.
Established in 1992, the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse is an award-winning California nonprofit with a mission to engage, educate, and empower consumers to protect their privacy. The PRC aims to raise awareness of how technology impacts personal privacy, empower individuals to take steps to protect their privacy, help consumers contact the appropriate parties when they have concerns or complaints, make those complaints available and accessible to policy-makers, and advocate for privacy rights at all levels of government. Consumers can file privacy complaints on their website, which is also a great resource to learn about the latest and most important past issues in privacy. The PFC shares Disconnect’s mission to protect online privacy, and we’re proud to support their efforts.
